Introducing Aabdock Studio
Aabdock Studio is located in a restored outbuilding in Nevada City, California.
At Aabdock Sudio, I amalgamate my memory/journaling with a keen visual sense. From this creative spark, I create my artworks, which speak to my history/memory/emotional complexity.
My artworks are shown at various group shows in the Sierra foothills area and greater Sacramento area throughout the year. For 2026, plans are underway to attend art fairs in southern California as well.
I do not use social media and have not shown my works on social media platforms. I am therefore very pleased to be able to make my artworks available for viewing and purchasing through this website.
I offer my pieces in several different media and formats at different price-points, as briefly described below:
Oil Paintings. My paintings are oils on canvas, usually in a large statement-type formats ranging from 3' to 7' wide and up to 4’ long. Prices start at $1,300 or more..
Analog Collages. My analog collages feature paper images sourced from very old magazines out of copyright and/or primary vintage photos found in charity shops and antique malls. These are available simply matted and also matted with frame. Prices are $500 and up.
Painted Reprographs. My painted reprographs are selected images from original artworks presented on archival paper. These pieces are adhered to masonite or artboard and individually painted with acrylic paints. They are available matted and in a protective sleeve or matted and framed. Prices range from $95 to $255.

My Oil Paintings
I paint figures. Semi-abstract figures from my imagination. The stories I tell are formed/fed from decades of journaling.
Fragmentation of body parts is often present in my paintings. I grew up in a family of doctors/nurses. Talk about physiology/anatomy was common in our home. The fragmentation in my paintings is no longer about science but symbolism.
Amorphousness gives rise to what is seamless/steadfast. Tendencies abound that are un-standardized/un-formalist /un-technological.
I call these paintings “Diaristic Fragmentation Paintings.” View Paintings
My Analog Collages and Painted Reprographs
I never use digital sources for my collages. My collages use paper images sourced from old magazines/books/vernacular photos found in charity shops. The collages take shape by juxtaposing ordinary but unrelated images in a situation where neither belong.
I pay close attention to detail because attending to minute particulars remind me of my career as a dental hygienist. I rely on the exactitude of those fine motor to cut /position/glue the paper images. View Collages
